STATION 16 @ PAPIER16

“Dedicated exclusively to the promotion of art on paper, Papier is one of the most important fairs of its kind in North America. The event is an important catalyst for the Canadian contemporary art market and constitutes a unique meeting ground for the greater public, art enthusiasts and professionals alike.” (papier16.com)

Station 16 Gallery will be participating for the first time in the Papier art fair. This year’s edition will be held at Hangar 16 in the Old Port, in 2016 no less – all of the stars have aligned and we are very excited!

As Papier is a contemporary art fair specializing in works on paper, we will be presenting artwork by Stikki Peaches, Whatisadam, Alan Ganev, Laurence Vallières, ASVP, COPE2, Peter Andrew, and Enzo Sarto, all of whom have incorporated paper into their practice in varying manners, from wheatpastes, collage, silkscreen printing, and even sculptures made entirely out of cardboard.

In a special edition designed specifically for Papier16, Whatisadam will be launching a limited edition of 6 screen prints of his iconic Maple Sizzurp cans in this year’s Pantone colours of the year, Rose Quartz and Serenity, a combination sure to please design aficionados and fans of the artist’s playful dialogue with pop culture alike.

We are honored to be featured among an incredible roster of contemporary art galleries from across the country and hope to see you at our booth! The fair runs from April 22nd to the 24th  and will take place at Hangar 16 at the Quai de l’Horloge in the Old Port of Montreal.
