APRIL 22-24 2016

“Dedicated exclusively to the promotion of art on paper, Papier is one of the most important fairs of its kind in North America. The event is an important catalyst for the Canadian contemporary art market and constitutes a unique meeting ground for the greater public, art enthusiasts and professionals alike.” (papier16.com)

Station 16 Gallery will be participating for the first time in the Papier art fair. This year’s edition will be held at Hangar 16 in the Old Port, in 2016 no less – all of the stars have aligned and we are very excited!

As Papier is a contemporary art fair specializing in works on paper, we will be presenting artwork by Stikki Peaches, Whatisadam, Alan Ganev, Laurence Vallières, ASVP, COPE2, and Enzo Sarto, all of whom have incorporated paper into their practice in varying manners, from wheatpastes, collage, silkscreen printing, and even sculptures made entirely out of cardboard.

New releases from Scaner

Red Crown by Scaner

With one of the most recognizable tags in Montreal, Scaner has been active in the city’s street art scene since the late 1990s. In addition to his trademark tag “his inimitable,” Scaner’s murals are numerous and hard to miss. Furthermore, Scaner is a part of the DA crew, as well as several others collectives, including KG, VC, JKR, TFB, TFO, and 156. Through a colourful and typography-based approach that is congruent with classic, old-school graffiti, Scaner is a key component of Montreal’s urban arts.
